2 Structural features
The pipeline ball valve that can perform online maintenance on natural gas pipelines is a new product designed specifically to solve online maintenance, reduce ball valve repair costs and reduce maintenance time. On-line maintenance pipeline ball valve products set vulnerable seals on the ball. When the seal is damaged and leaks, there is no need to remove the valve from the pipeline. On-line maintenance can be carried out through its unique maintenance flange, or through the actuator The sphere rotates 180°, that is, the position of the original upstream and downstream rubber seals are exchanged, and the sealing performance of the valve can be restored. The online maintenance of the pipeline ball valve greatly simplifies the maintenance process. The application of the matching intelligent control system has doubled the trouble-free running time.
The online maintenance pipeline ball valve is mainly composed of a connecting body, a valve body, an upper valve stem, a lower valve stem, a ball, and a sealing device. The sealing device is composed of a detachable rubber seal fixed on the sphere and a floating metal seal located in the sealing seat of the valve body. The valve body is designed with a manhole structure with a larger diameter than the rubber seal. The centerline of the manhole and the centerline of the valve body flow channel are in the same horizontal plane and are at an angle of 90°. This structural design provides the possibility for online maintenance. The valve is controlled by an electric actuator and a pipeline intelligent diagnosis system.
3 Special functions
1) Double seal
The online maintenance pipeline valve adopts a floating seat ball valve, which is loaded by a spring. In the closed position, the valve seat is in contact with the sealing surface of the sphere embedded with polymer materials suitable for different pressure levels to ensure a bubble-free seal under both high pressure and low pressure differences.
2) Double blocking and double venting
The online maintenance pipeline ball valve adopts double blocking and double discharge DBB functions, and a drain valve is installed on the valve body. When the two ends of the valve are sealed, the accumulation in the valve cavity can be discharged through the drain valve of the valve body.
3) Online maintenance
Because the online maintenance pipeline ball valve sets the vulnerable rubber seals of the upstream and downstream sealing devices on the ball, when the rubber seal on the upstream side is damaged and leaks, just rotate the ball 180°, which is the position of the upstream and downstream rubber seals. By swapping, the sealing performance of the valve can be restored, and the online maintenance of the pipeline ball valve can be realized without pipeline shutdown.
4) Remove dirt
When the transported natural gas contains a lot of impurities, a large amount of deposits will be formed at the valve seal or the convex-concave joint of the valve seat, which will not only prevent the normal transport of the medium, but also easily damage the sealing surface and shorten the service life of the sealing ring. The ball of the online maintenance pipeline ball valve has the function of automatically collecting dirt. When the dirt needs to be removed, only the valve can be partially opened to clean up the dirt. It is simple and fast, saving time and effort.
